 Dorie retired after teaching for 30
years with DoDDS. She taught art, photography, humanities, industrial
art and computer science to students in grades K-12. In addition, Dorie
served as computer coordinator/educational technologist at the district
offices in Okinawa, the Turkey/Spain/Islands District and the Mediterranean
District. Although Dorie enjoyed everywhere she was stationed--Okinawa;
Midway Islands; Incirlik, Turkey; and Vicenza, Italy--at heart she will always
be a Dragon from Kubasaki High School.
Dorie currently lives in a condo on the beach
on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. She teaches digital photography and basic
computer skills on board cruise ships and exhibits her art work in shops and
