U.S. SENATOR
John
McCain was born in
Panama
. Both his father and grandfather
were Navy admirals. His father was
commander of U.S. Naval Forces in the Pacific when the senator was shot down in
Vietnam
and became a POW (1967-1973).
In
his biography, McCain, a self-described military brat, said that “the longest
place he ever lived was at the prison camp in
Hanoi
.”
The
decorated war hero retired from the Navy in 1981.
He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982. In
1986, he was elected to the Senate after
Arizona
’s Barry Goldwater retired. In 2000, 2004, & 2008,
McCain ran in the Republican primaries for President.

Willy
McCool’s father was a Navy and Marine aviator.
He followed his father’s path after graduating 2nd in his

Academy
in 1983 and became not only an aviator but an Astronaut.
McCool
was a member of the
Columbia
crew when it broke up on re-entry in 2003.
He joined NASA in 1993 after a distinguished career aboard the USS Coral

McEwen
retired as Weatherman from the CBS Early Show after 16 years in 2002.
His reporting included many other areas while he was at CBS.
He was named one of the “Ten Most Trusted TV News Personalities” by

anchor for a local TV station in
Orlando
but suffered a stroke in November 2005.

was the founder and lead singer of the popular group, The Doors.

TELEVISION ACTRESSES
Identical
twins, Tamara and Tia Mowry were born in

. Their full names are Tamara
Davette and Tia Dashon. Both

started doing talent shows at a very early age.
Tia was a dancer and Tamara a singer.
In 1988 Tia won the Little Miss

Adrian
Murrell’s father, Angelo, was an Army Command Sergeant Major.
The former Overseas Brat played collegiate football for
West Virginia
. In 1993, he was drafted by the
New York Jets where he played until 1998. He
later played for the Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, and Dallas Cowboys.
He retired in 2003.
