Pat Conroy is a Marine Brat. His father was a career Marine Corps Aviator.
Many of his books have been made into films: “The Water is Wide (Movie Version” Conrack”),” “Prince of Tides,” “The Lords of Discipline,” “Beach Music” & “Great Santini.”
He did not attend any schools overseas.
